PESHAWAR, May 20: The Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam has accused the Jamaat-i-Islami of making illegal appointments in various departments in Malakand district and misappropriation of Zakat funds.

In a press release issued here on Saturday, JUI district chief Maulana Mohammad Ishaq Julgaram alleged that the JI had recruited its workers on various posts without following merit and fulfilling legal requirements.

He alleged that the tehsil municipal officer had appointed relatives of NWFP Forests Minister Shah Raz Khan in BPD-IV without advertising the posts.
