Adnan, Shoaib shine

PESHAWAR, May 19: Four wickets each by Adnan Riaz and Mohammad Shoaib guided Gujranwala Academy to secure four-wicket win against Shafqat Rana Academy in the 2nd All-Pakistan Inter-Academy cricket tournament being played at Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium on Friday.

Adnan and Shoaib gave away 28 and nine runs to grab the wickets in their eight-over spells.

Earlier, Shafqat Rana Academy batting first scored 173 in 39.2 overs.

Opener Junaid Babar top scored with 65 runs off 83 balls with seven boundaries.

In reply, Gujranwala Academy achieved the target in 29.1 overs for the loss of six wickets.

Mohammad Shoaib hammered 85 runs off 65 balls with 10 boundaries and five towering sixes.—APP
