LAHORE: A judicial magistrate on Monday extended the physical remand of Sialkot additional deputy commissioner revenue (ADCR) Muhammad Iqbal Sanghera in a case registered by the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE).

A team of the ACE presented Iqbal before the court on expiry of his previous remand and sought an extension in his physical remand for further investigation and collection of evidence.

Magistrate Bushra Anwar accepted the request and extended the remand of the ADCR for four more days. The magistrate directed the ACE to produce the suspect again on Aug 15.

The magistrate directed the investigating officer to conduct the investigation in a transparent manner and conclude the same in the stipulated period.
