Israel’s Defence Minister Israel Katz has said the military will remain active in Jenin, Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps in the occupied West Bank for the coming months, Al Jazeera reports.

The military is “currently remaining inside the camps under my orders, at least until the end of the year”, he wrote in a post on X.

Israel’s military waged intensive, months-long raids on several refugee camps in the northern parts of West Bank earlier this year, displacing tens of thousands and killing dozens.
