A Palestinian has succumbed to gunshot wounds he sustained from Israeli forces in Jericho in the occupied West Bank, yesterday evening, Al Jazeera reports, citing the Wafa news agency.

Abdullah Mohammed Atiyat, aged 25, was pronounced dead this morning after being transferred at dawn to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem from Jericho Governmental Hospital due to the seriousness of his condition, it said.

Wafa reported that Israeli forces had wounded Atiyat in the upper body after opening fire during a raid in central Jericho.
