Gaza conflict death toll climbs to 61,369

At least 61,369 people have now been killed by Israeli attacks since the start of Israel’s military campaign in Gaza since October 2023, Al Jazeera reports citing the enclave’s health ministry.

At least 39 people were killed and 491 wounded by Israeli attacks across Gaza in the last 24 hours, the ministry said, adding that 21 people were killed while seeking food aid.

The number people dying due to forced famine and malnutrition has risen to 212, including 98 children.
