PESHAWAR: Federal Investigation Agency on Friday arrested a suspected human smuggler from Charsadda district, officials said.

FIA Peshawar Zone officials said that the agency acted upon intelligence and arrested Adil alias Sher Khan, who was allegedly involved in human smuggling through forged travel documents.

“Three members of the gang, including Darvesh Khan, Ilyas Khan and Saddam, are already in custody. The gang is involved in human smuggling through forged travel documents,” the officials said and claimed that Adil was the leader of the gang.

The officials said the accused would contact citizens on social media platform WhatsApp, provide them with forged Libyan visas and later send them to European countries.
