LAHORE: Cultural institutions under the Pakistan National Council of Arts are preparing programmes for the August 14 celebrations.
The institutions include the Lahore Arts Council, Punjab Council of the Arts, Punjab Institute of Language, Art and Culture, and the Shakir Ali Museum.
These programmes include national songs, theater, exhibitions, musical shows, plays and other activities. New plays have been written for the occasion. Singers, both known and emerging, will be invited to sing national songs at the events. The celebrations will also include August 14 themed exhibitions featuring visual art.
