NAWABSHAH: First Lady and MNA, Aseefa Bhutto-Zardari, distributed ownership documents of houses among flood-hit women under the Sindh People’s Housing Project at Latif Hall in Peoples University of Medical and Health Sciences here on Friday.

She said at the ceremony that the initiative was not just about providing a house, but also about empowering women with rights, dignity and security.

She gave credit to Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari for his efforts and vision for making this possible and noted that no other province or party had taken such a significant step.

She highlighted that the initiative fulfilled the promise made by Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto to provide land, shelter and dignity to every individual.

She congratulated those who received property documents, expressing hope that this move would secure future of current and future generations.

She said the initiative aimed to empower women by providing them with land ownership rights, which would have a significant impact on their social and economic status.

A large number of houses are being built in flood-hit villages to accommodate the families rendered shelterless during unprecedented rains and floods in 2022.
