PPP holds meeting to discuss by-polls

LAHORE: A meeting of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Central Punjab chapter was held on Thursday at the Governor House for consultation on the by-elections in three constituencies of Punjab.

The meeting, chaired by Governor Sardar Saleem Haider and Central Punjab General Secretary Syed Hassan Murtaza, discussed the election strategy for PP-87 Mianwali, NA-66 Wazirabad and NA-129 Lahore. Party leaders from each constituency gave their suggestions about the potential candidates and election strategies.

Mr Murtaza said the party would field a strong candidate in NA-66 Wazirabad, and would issue tickets for NA-129 Lahore on the recommendations of the parliamentary committee.
