PESHAWAR, May 16: The Awami National Party has dedicated its library at the Bacha Khan Markaz for the cause of promoting peace in the region.

According to a press release issued on Tuesday, Bacha Khan Research Centre Director Dr Fazalur Rahim Marwat said the library contained books, research papers and latest global and regional information, specifically concerning Pukhtunkhwa.

He said the library would promote academic work and research about various strata of the entire Pukhtunkhwa, Central Asia and South Asia in the fields of politics, culture, economy, education, history, sociology, anthropology, art and craft, language and literature.

It would extend cooperation to all non-government, national and international organisations and associations working for peace, democracy, human rights, education and literature, he said.

He said the library would encourage all scholars and researchers to contribute in all fields of knowledge, public awareness programmes and planning.
