SWABI: A young boy and his seven-year-old nephew were killed after being run over by a dumper truck here on Wednesday, police and rescue officials said.

The two were on way to Khararai area on motorcycle when they were hit by a truck coming from the opposite site at Gadoon Amazai Chowk on Swabi-Topi Road. Both died on the spot.

The deceased were identified as Zain Mohammad and his nephew, Mustafa Khan. Their bodies were taken to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for autopsy. An FIR was registered in the Topi city police station against the truck driver, who fled the area.

Meanwhile, Muzakir Shah Jadoon, chairman of Pakistan Reform Party and Pakhtun Qaumi Jirga member, was shot at and injured by unidentified assailants here on Wednesday. He belongs to Atla village of Gadoon Amazai.
