KARACHI: Two men found dead

KARACHI, May 14: The trussed-up bodies of two men shot dead after being kidnapped by unknown persons in Malir late Saturday night were found from a vacant plot near Sultan homes Malir city the next morning.

Police said the deceased were friends and lived in Bagh-i-Malir Al Falah Society.

Quoting some friends, the police said that Shahzad, 28, had borrowed a motorcycle from his friend at around 2 am. His friend waited for him, but later went to sleep when Shahzad failed to return.

Police suspected that Shahzad must have picked up Wajid before they were kidnapped.

On early Sunday morning, their bodies were recovered from near the Sultan Homes.

Wajid was an estate agent while Shahzad was running a snooker business. Their bodies were shifted to the JPMC for postmortem.

KILLED: A mother of nine was killed by her husband in Sohrab Goth late Saturday night.

Police said Muhammad Nazar hit his wife Aysha, 45, with a blunt weapon on her head causing her instant death in Ayub Goth. Nazar later fled the house following the incident. The family hailed from Larkana.Police have registered an FIR and are looking for the suspect.

DROWNING: A 14-year-old girl drowned in the sea at Hawkesbay where she had gone on a picnic with her family.

The incident occurred near Hut no 79 at the Hawkesbay when Zainab daughter of Amanullah was swept away by strong waves. The incident occurred at around 7pm.

Divers are attempting to recover the victim’s body but have not yet been successful.
