Al Jazeera reports that it has obtained details of the draft ceasefire proposal for Gaza. Here is what it would entail:

  • US President Donald Trump will guarantee the temporary 60-day ceasefire

  • Hamas will release 10 living Israeli captives and the bodies of 18 captives, starting on the first day

  • Supplies, including food, will be distributed through agreed-upon channels, including the United Nations and the Red Crescent

  • All Israeli offensive military activities will cease across the strip, while other military and surveillance operations will pause for 10 hours a day

  • Over the period of the ceasefire, Israel will redeploy its forces in northern Gaza, the Netzarim Corridor and in southern Gaza

  • Negotiations on securing a permanent ceasefire to start immediately
