One lie changed everything
This is regarding the story “One lie changed everything” by Muhammad Anas Khan (YW, May 3rd). The story moved me deeply because, as children, we often lie to our parents, usually for trivial wishes or demands. When our parents fulfil them, we feel as if we have successfully fooled them. But this is an act of deception. It is wrong and only leads to pain for everyone involved.
We must always tell the truth, because it is the right thing to do and our parents deserve that. No matter how badly we want something, honesty gives us the confidence that whatever we receive is through truthful means. I hope we all understand and embrace this important lesson.

Develop your talent
This is regarding the article “Develop your talent” by Naad-e-Ali Khan (YW, May 10th). The article truly stood out to me. It carried a strong and encouraging message that many students like me can relate to, as it reminded us to believe in ourselves and to stay patient while discovering our own strengths.
Moreover, in the same issue, “Mother material” by Yasmin Elahi and Sophia Syed’s “Ammi is everything to me”, beautifully captured the true spirit of Mother’s Day. The writers’ creativity and heartfelt ideas were a treat to read.
With respect and appreciation, I thank the YW team for bringing thoughtful and inspiring content to readers every week.

The article “Develop your talent” by Naad-e-Ali Khan influenced me a lot. Sometimes, I also feel like I’m not good enough or that I don’t have any special talent. But reading this article gave me hope.
It reminded me that it’s okay to fail, and that we all shine in our own way if we keep trying.

The life of a leaf
This is with reference to the story “The life of a leaf” by Armeen Shahzad (YW, May 17). The story was written in a very unusual, but interesting way — from the perspective of a leaf, sharing its close bond with fellow leaves as they enjoyed nature together and cared for one another.
The story conveyed a deep message that we should feel happy and fulfilled if we are able to help others and serve our purpose, no matter how small it may seem. It reminded us that every life has meaning, and even the smallest acts of kindness or usefulness can bring joy and make a difference.
