11 injured in road accident

KHAIRPUR, May 13: Eleven persons were injured in a road accident when a Pir Jo Goth-bound wagon coming from Sukkur went out of control of the driver and overturned in a ditch near Priyaloi, taluka Kingri, on Friday.

Injured were identified as Gada Hussain Janwari, Mansoor Dhalet, Mohammad Arshad, Morial, Mohammad Moosa, Wali Mohammad, Usman and Mohammad Yousuf. Names of three others could not be ascertained.

The were taken to Priyaloi and Garhi Mori hospitals.

BOOKED: The Tando Masti Khan police on Friday booked 11 persons on the complaint of ASI Ghulam Abbas.

The complainant said in a FIR that he and some other policemen were going for investigation into a case on Thursday when gunmen opened fire on them near agricultural lands of Amanullah Phulpoto.

Police returned the fire, but accused escaped.

Budhal, Ghulam Shabbir, Aijaz, Shahnawaz, Din Mohammad and six other unidentified persons were booked in the FIR.

CASE LODGED: A farmer of the irrigation department Gambat lodged a case with the Sobhodero police against four growers on Saturday for water theft.

The complainant in the FIR said that he had received information that Sadoro, Gulab, Malook (all brothers) and Ghulam Nabi had broken watercourse No.1132 fed from Abul Wah in deh Madd, taluka Sobhodero, and were stealing water.

Another FIR was lodged with the Babarloi police on Friday by Mehboob Ali Seelro against Irshad Hussain, Nazeer, Mohib, Abdul Ghani, Hasoo, Daim and Bhooro.

Seelro said that two days ago, the accused had attacked him, his brother and father when they were watering crops.

SUICIDE: Naimat Ali Talpur committed suicide by shooting himself in his home in the jurisdiction of Kotdiji police station, on Friday. Cause of the suicide was said to be some domestic affair.
