JEONJU (South Korea): In a stunning performance, Pakistan demolished hosts South Korea 91-6 in their third Group ‘B’ match of the Asian Youth Girls Netball Championship in Jeonju on Sunday.

This emphatic victory at the Jeonju Hwasan Gymnasium in Jeonju follows Pakistan’s 56-32 win over Chinese Taipei on Saturday.

Alisha Naveed and Leya Raza Shah emerged as top-scorers against South Korea, with significant contributions from Haleema, Sarina Hussain, Jasmine Farooq, Farah Rasheed, Amani, Parisa, Sum­ayya Ahmed and Alina. The match saw Paki­stan dominate each quarter (23-2, 45-3, 70-4, 91-6).

Now firmly atop Group ‘B’, Pakistan next face Japan on Monday before taking on the Maldives in the final group match on Tuesday.

Eleven teams are competing in the tournament, running until July 4.
