Boxing series from May 19

KARACHI, May 12: Trio of Indian boxers would arrive here next week to compete in three-match series against their Pakistani counterparts at KPT Sports Complex, said Sindh Boxing Association (SBA) on Friday.

One bout each will be fought between boxers from the rival countries during the three-day series starting from May 19. In the 57kg bout Indian ace Dewarkar Prasad will take on Asian champion Mehrullah while J. Bhagwan will meet Asghar Ali Shah in the 60kg bout. The 75kg bout will be played between Nadir Khan of Pakistan and Virender Singh of India.—PPI
