According to Iran’s English-language station Press TV, Iranian nuclear scientist Sedighi Saber was killed alongside 11 members of his family during an Israeli assassination attack shortly before the Iran-Israel ceasefire took effect late on Monday, Al Jazeera reports.

According to Press TV, the attack took place in Astaneh Ashrafieh, a northern Iranian city near the Caspian Sea. A family photo of the scientist published by Press TV showed the family members who were killed, including elderly people, several children and women.
