CHARSADDA: Qaumi Watan Party, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chairman Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao on Friday urged the international community and the Muslim Ummah to play an active role in halting Israeli aggression in the Middle East.

He made these remarks while speaking at a press conference in Abazai area of Tangi tehsil, where several Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf workers announced joining QWP.

Welcoming the new entrants, Sikandar Sherpao emphasised the importance of collective efforts for securing the rights of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and protecting the future of Pakhtun youth.

Referring to the ongoing tension between Israel and Iran, he said that Israel had already inflicted attacks on Palestinians and was now opening a front against Iran.

The QWP leader dismissed recent claims of economic progress in the federal and provincial budgets as contrary to ground realities. “Instead of providing relief to the people, both governments are focused on increasing their lavish expenditures. The burden of taxes has been unfairly shifted onto the poor,” he said.

Sikandar Sherpao criticised the PTI for pushing the province toward disaster, citing deteriorating law and order, rampant unemployment, growing underdevelopment, and frequent exposure of multi-billion-rupee corruption scandals. He lamented the ‘absence’ of effective governance in the province.
