LAHORE: In a major reshuffle in the bureaucracy, the Punjab government transferred on Saturday night Planning and Development Board chairman and secretary and several administrative secretaries.

Planning and Development Board chairman Nabeel Ahmad Awan has been directed to report to the S&GAD for further orders. He has been replaced by Punjab energy department secretary Dr Naeem Rauf.

P&D Board secretary Dr Asif Tufail has been transferred and posted as Sahiwal Commissioner. Implementation and Coordination (I&C) S&GAD secretary Rafaqat Ali has been transferred and posted as P&D Board secretary.

Punjab human rights and minorities affairs secretary Ali Bahadur Qazi has been transferred and posted as secretary (Archives and Libraries Wing) of S&GAD.

Punjab tourism, archaeology and museum department secretary Farid Ahmad Tarar has been transferred and posted as secretary human rights and minorities affairs department.

Punjab environment protection and climate change department secretary Jahangir Anwar has been transferred and posted as secretary tourism, archaeology and museum department.

(Archives and Libraries Wing) of S&GAD secretary Silwat Saeed has been transferred and posted as secretary environment protection and climate change.

Punjab higher education department secretary Dr Farrukh Naveed has been transferred and posted as secretary energy department. OSD Ghulam Farid has been posted as secretary higher education department.

Commissioner Sahiwal Shoaib Iqbal Syed has been directed to report to the S&GAD for further orders, enabling him to attend 123rd National Management Course.

Finance department special secretary (Budget and Resource) Syed Masood Nouman has been transferred and posted as secretary (I&C), S&GAD.The reshuffle, effective immediately, aims to optimize governance and administrative efficiency.
