NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, May 11: Two judges of the Sindh High Court, Sukkur bench, on Thursday visited sub-jails in Kandiaro, Naushahro Feroze and Moro and directed local judges to check and arrange release of prisoners sentenced for committing minor offences, on personal bonds, judicial orders etc.

Justice Zawar Hussain Jafri and Justice Amir Hani Muslim paid surprise visits to the Kandiaro sub-jail and listened to problems of prisoners.

Prisoner Din Mohammad Solangi complained that he had been in the jail for five months in a case of Rs1,000 theft. The judges called the judicial magistrate-II of Kandiaro and the prisoner was released on personal bond.

The judges said the condition of the jail was not satisfactory.

They directed Kandiaro Mukhtiarkar Mohammad Moosa Rind and jailer Bashir Jokhio to attend the court in Sukkur on Friday along with the jail record.
