KARACHI, May 10: A young man killed his two sisters for working in a beauty parlour early Wednesday morning in Landhi, police said.

When Mumtaz Husain Shah, 24, an attendant at a petrol station, returned home late Tuesday night from work in Future Colony, Landhi, an argument was already going on between his wife and two sisters over their employment at the beauty parlour.

The sisters, Baby, 21 and Babli, 19, were going to the parlour for the last one month, police said.

The suspect, Mumtaz, had already shown his reservations over the working of his sisters at the parlour, said SHO Shaukat Awan.

After getting frustrated over the issue, Shah shot dead his two sisters while they were asleep early Wednesday morning.

Following the incident, Shah fled from the house with his licensed pistol he had used in the crime.

An FIR 65/2006 was lodged at the Sharafi Goth police station against Mumtaz Husain Shah.

Police said the suspect’s wife apparently instigated the issue triggering Shah to kill his sisters.

Following the incident, police reached the scene and sent the bodies to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for postmortem.

Police said that since the suspect hailed from Abbotabad, he might have fled to his native town to seek refuge.

SHELLING: Police on Wednesday resorted to tear-gas shelling and baton charge when car showroom owners on the New M.A. Jinnah Road pelted stones at the anti-encroachment team of the city government and police party, who were removing encroachment and cars, parked on the road.

Several workers of the Car Dealers Association were detained by the police and several cars parked on the road were impounded by officials of the city government.
