ISLAMABAD, May 9: Pakistan on Tuesday assured Nato of full support regarding peace and stability in Afghanistan as it was a top priority for it. This was stated by Foreign Minister Khurshid Kasuri while talking to a five-member delegation headed by Nato’s senior civilian representative in Afghanistan Hikmet Cetin, here at the Foreign Office.

Mr Cetin commended Pakistan’s role in peace and stability in Afghanistan adding that Pakistan was a key country in the war against terrorism.

He said Nato considered it important to maintain close cooperation with Pakistan and added that as an important ally, Nato wanted long-term relationship with Pakistan.

Mr Kasuri assured the leader of the Nato delegation of Pakistan’s full support and cooperation in this regard. The two sides agreed that terrorism required a holistic coordinated response.
