SUKKUR: Three persons were killed and a fourth one was injured when a speeding truck hit another truck parked for repair near the Jamra area along Sukkur-Shikarpur road on Thursday.

The deceased included Mohammad Aijaz Pathan, who owned the parked truck.

Officials at the Lakhi police station said that a mechanic, Idrees Brohi, along with Aijaz Pathan, was repairing the broken down truck beneath it when the speeding truck rammed into it and ran over them. They died instantly.

The police said that a labourer, Atta Mohammad Sanjrani, who was riding the speeding vehicle, fell off it due to the impact of the collision. He also died on the spot. His companion, Imran Sanjrani, was injured in the accident.

Aijaz Pathan was a resident of Sahiwal, whereas Idrees Brohi and Atta Mohammad lived in Shikarpur.

Missing boy found murdered

A 10-year-old boy, Rohit Oad, who had gone missing a couple of days back from near his home in Wagono Dar locality of Shikarpur district was found murdered on Thursday.

His body with marks of grave injuries was found dumped on a heap of garbage in the nearby Unnar Colony, falling with the jurisdiction of the Lakhi-Dar police station.

The bereaved family said that they had reported the matter of his going missing at the Stuart Ganj and New Faujdari police stations but they failed to locate him.
