LANDI KOTAL (Khyber Agency), May 8: An official FM radio station started test transmissions in the Jamrud tehsil of the Khyber Agency on Monday. The Khyber Radio Station run broadcasts three hours in the morning and three in the evening.
Senior Producer Said Nazir Afridi said that alongside two news bulletins in the morning and evening, one-hour programmes on Islamic teachings would be broadcast in the morning and in the evening.
He said that music, entertainment, educational and other programmes highlighting customs and traditions of tribal areas were also included in the schedule.
