ISLAMABAD: Mohammad Ammad claimed the inaugural Jansher Khan PSA Squash tournament title, defeating Anas Ali 3-1 in the final here at the Mushaf Squash Complex on Monday.

Ammad won the match 11-4, 11-6, 7-11, 11-5 in 38 minutes. Squash legend Jansher Khan, after whom the tournament is named, attended the final as chief guest and presented trophies and souvenirs to the finalists.

The tournament, which featured a 32-player draw and carried a $1,000 prize purse, aimed to support low-ranking Pakis­tani squash players.Officials from the Pakistan Squash Federation and sponsors were also in attendance for the closing ceremony.
