TOBA TEK SINGH: A male gynaecologist was arrested by Mian Channu city police in Khanewal district on Friday for alleged misconduct with a female patient at his clinic.

According to the FIR registered under sections 376 and 511 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), the complainant, the woman’s husband, claimed that during a medical examination, the doctor touched his wife’s private parts, asked her to remove her shalwar, and attempted to rape her.

The suspect was produced before a judicial magistrate, who sent him to Khanewal district jail on judicial remand. Speaking to reporters during his court appearance, the doctor denied the allegations, saying no such incident took place and he was innocent.

FIRE: Two children were injured when a fire broke out in a garbage heap in the Sarai Sidhu locality of Kabirwala on Friday.

According to Rescue 1122, the children were playing near the garbage when the fire erupted. They were taken to Kabirwala Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for treatment. The injured were identified as three-year-old Arooj Fatima and six-year-old Rehan.
