Pakistan has strongly condemned the continued Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip, urging more humanitarian aid to enter the besieged enclave.

During the weekly press briefing, Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Khan called for ending Israeli military expansion against Palestinians and urged the world to ensure a lasting ceasefire.

“Pakistan condemns the continued Israeli aggression in Gaza resulting in deaths of dozens of Palestinians as well as the deliberate targeting of hospital and other critical infrastructure and mass evacuation orders,” said the spokesperson.

“The expansion of Israeli ground operations in Gaza as well as it announcement to take control of all of Gaza poses a grave threat to efforts aimed at achieving peace and stability in the region,” he added.

“Israel continues to obstruct critical humanitarian aid from reaching millions in fire need. Pakistan reiterates its call on the international community for an immediate end to Israel’s genocidal campaign and ensure a lasting ceasefire in Gaza.

The spokesperson further said Pakistan “urges provision of concrete steps toward provision on unimpeded humanitarian supplies to millions of Palestinians in dire need, and hold Israel accountable for its egregious crimes.”

“Pakistan reiterates its unequivocal attempts to displace Palestinians from their ancestral lands, expand illegal Israeli settlements, or annex any of the occupied Palestinian territories,” he said.
