LAKKI MARWAT: Two bodies were found in the Titterkhel and Darra Pezu town of Lakki Marwat district on Tuesday, the police said.

An official said some locals spotted a body dumped in the fields near Titterkhel area and informed the police. He said Ghaznikhel police shifted the body to the District Headquarters Hospital.

“The deceased could not be identified nor could the cause of his death be ascertained till filing of this report,” he said.

Separately, the police found a body from an area along the Bannu-DI Khan Road in Darra Pezu town.

The deceased, 50, and having severe injury marks on his body, could not be identified immediately.

“It appears he died after being hit by a vehicle,” said a police official, adding they shifted the body to the DHQ Hospital, and shared pictures of the deceased on social media platforms for identification purposes.

Meanwhile, the district administration banned display of weapons, pillion-riding and use of tinted glass in vehicles for a week in Bannu on Tuesday.

An official said deputy commissioner Mohammad Fahim issued an order in that regard under Section 144 of Code of Criminal Procedure on the report of district police officer to avert any untoward incident during the upcoming anti-polio drive, which begins on May 26.
