The goal is to make these engineers a valuable asset for the nation and they could contribute meaningfully to future operations of the Reko Diq project.

This is the third group of engineers which has been sent abroad for professional training under the programme. Earlier, two groups comprising nine to ten engineers each were sent to Argentina and Zambia for training in the mining sector.

The spokesperson said this practical experience will provide the engineers with exposure to world-class modern mining operations and help them acquire essential skills and expertise in their respective field.
