KARACHI: Skippers Sidra Amin and Fatima Sana top-scored for their respective sides as Stars and Conquerers racked up victories in the National Women’s T20 tournament on Saturday.

Sidra Amin led from the front with an unbeaten 70 as Stars chased down Invincibles’ 140-6 with eight balls to spare and seven wickets in hand at the National Bank Stadium.

Invincibles had a rapid 115-run opening stand between captain Muneeba Ali (52) and Ayesha Zafar (61) but slumped after impressive bowling by Aleesa Mukhtiar (3-23) and Waheeda Akhtar (2-18).

Sidra’s innings then paved the way for Stars’ third victory of the tournament that lifted them up to second place in the standings.

In the day’s other fixture at the Oval Academy Ground, Fatima’s quickfire 42 propelled Conquerers to post 139-6 against Challengers, who could only make 108-6 in reply.
