KARACHI, May 6: A brilliant century by Khalid Latif inspired Malir Gymkhana to a 53-run victory over Landhi Friends in KCCA Centenary Inter-club cricket tournament match at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground on Friday.

Khalid, the ex-Pakistan under-19 captain, blasted 11 fours and three sixes in scoring 126 as Malir Gymkhana made 279 for five in 40 overs.

Another promising youngster Khurram Manzoor also batted well to contribute 75, which included six boundaries and two sixes.

Landhi Friends responded with 226 for seven with Jibran Bashir hitting a defiant 90.

In another match at the Students Sports Ground, Rafiq Shirazi Memorial CC defeated Asifabad Sports by three wickets.
