GUJRANWALA, May 6: A teenage girl was kidnapped while her father was shot dead by the accused for putting up resistance in Garjakh on Saturday.
Police said Saeed Pathan wanted to marry his neighbour’s girl ‘N’. It is learnt that the girl allegedly eloped with him a few days ago. But the accused had to return her to her parents through panchayat.
The accused went to the girl’s house and shot dead her father Master Muhammad Yasin and kidnapped her.
Police have registered a case and are investigating.
