PESHAWAR: The acting chairman of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Peshawar on Tuesday suspended an invigilator for taking picture of the question paper and forwarding it to someone outside the examination centre.

Peshawar Commissioner Riaz Mehsud, who is also acting chairman of the board, immediately suspended the duty of the invigilator and declared him ineligible for performing duty during examination.

The suspended invigilator was performing his duty at the examination centre set up at Government Degree College Peshawar during the ongoing intermediate examination, according to a statement issued here on Tuesday.

The commissioner ordered elementary and secondary education department to initiate departmental action against the teacher. By using modern techniques and having bar codes, the board authorities can trace the examination centre from where a paper is leaked.

Whenever someone tries to leak a question paper, the board officials are immediately informed with the help of this technology. Using this technology in the instant case, the said examiner was immediately caught and his mobile was seized.
