MIANWALI: Two persons died and 28 others were injured in a road traffic accident involving a bus, a car and a tractor-trolley on Mianwali-Talagang road nearMidadwala on Friday.

As per Rescue 1122 sources, a Mianwali-bound passenger bus of a private company coming from Chakwal collided with a tractor-trolley and then a car going from Mianwali to Musakhel.

As a result, 30 people were injured, two of them critically. On the callofa local, Rescue 1122 teams reached the spot from Mianwali, rescued the injured persons from the overturned bus and car. The rescuers shifted 12 injured passengers to the local district headquarters hospital, where two of them with critical injuries died. The deceased could not be identified so far.

The remaining 18 injured persons with minor injuries were provided first aid on the spot by the rescue team and allowed to go home.

As per the rescuers, the accident took place because of speeding and negligence by the bus driver.
