LAHORE: The Department of Price Control and Commodities Management has officially announced the Chief Minister Punjab Wheat Financing Programme for 2025.

Aimed at purchasing the maximum quantity of wheat from farmers, the Punjab government has issued guidelines for a Rs100 billion financing initiative to support the agricultural sector.

According to a notification, operational flour mills and food grain license holders in the province will be eligible to benefit from the Rs100 billion interest-free loan facility.

Flour millers and grain license holders can submit applications to the designated banks to avail of this facility by June 15.

The food director general/cane commissioner of Punjab will monitor the wheat procurement records under the special financing programme.

A seven-member steering committee, headed by the finance minister, has also been formed to ensure the implementation of the wheat financing programme.
