Three hurt as police vehicle overturns in Karachi’s Korangi

KARACHI: Three policemen were injured when a fast-moving police vehicle overturned in Korangi on Tuesday, police said.

Awami Colony SHO Abdul Sattar Magsi said the vehicle, which was part of a senior police officer’s security squad, overturned near Singer Chowrangi apparently due to over-speeding.

Three policemen — Danish Husain, 28, Iqraruddin, 25 and Mohammed Basit, 25 — sustained minor injuries.

The vehicle was also damaged in the incident.

Meanwhile, a man was shot at and wounded by robbers near Saba Avenue in DHA on Tuesday evening. The victim was identified as Fahmeed Shaikh, 41.
