PHF declares event illegal

LAHORE, May 4: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has declared Sindh Inter-district hockey championship “illegal”. “The event to be played from May 7 at Hyderabad has no legal status and is an unauthorised activity as the affairs of the Sindh Hockey Association suspended in view of the matter being subjudice before the Sindh High court”, said Brig (retd) Musarrat Ullah Khan, secretary, PHF on Thursday.

The organisers are not recognised by the PHF, and therefore the activity and the participation of any club or district team wasunauthorised, he said.—APP
