KARACHI, May 4: Pakistan lose the opening set advantage and went down 1-2 to ninth seed Indonesia in their second group 5 league tie of Asia-Oceania Junior Davis Cup qualifiers currently in progress at Kuching, Malaysia, the other day.

Ahmed Aslam gave Pakistan a fine start when he posted 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 victory over Asmara Dwi in the opener.

However, the lead was short lived as Lenz Theodor grabbed his both singles to seal the fate. First he accounted for Nasir Mushtaq 7-5, 6-2 to level the score 1-1. He then whipped Ahmed Aslam 6-3, 6-2 in the decisive set to clinch the tussle.

With two defeats, Pakistan finished at the bottom in the three-team group. Korea who won both games advanced to the second knock out stage.

Earlier, Pakistan suffered a straight 3-0 loss at the hands of third seed South Korea.

Twenty teams drawn in six groups are taking part in the tournament.
