TAXILA: The train service between Attock- Mianwali section was suspended for a while, as one of the coaches of 130 DN, Thal Express caught fire Near Chabb railway station in Jand, a remote and far-flung area of district Attock on Monday.

The railway sources said that fire erupted in the last bogie of the ‘Thal Express’, which would travel between Rawalpindi and Multan via Kundian, which they attributed to the heating of the wire in the power generator.

The officials said that soon after the passengers observed the fire, they halted the train and informed the crew, and fire was extinguished accordingly.

“No major loss or injury occurred, and the train has resumed its service after some time accordingly”. Officials said.
