TOBA TEK SINGH: Gojra city police have booked son of a former MNA, Khalid Javed Warraich, and his six others on Thursday on the charge of torturing a Customs inspector and hurling life threats at him.

Jhang Customs Inspector Hafiz Ali Haider Sahi claimed in the FIR registered under sections 427, 353, 506, 186, 148 and 149 of the PPC that he and his two constables were checking vehicles at Gojra on Painsara Road when he stopped a 4x4 double-cabin vehicle to check its record.

He said within a few minutes, the armed suspect, including Uqba Ali, son of the former MNA and his five to six accomplices, arrived there and forcibly snatched the vehicle from the Customs officials.

The complainant alleged that the suspects thrashed him and hurled life threats at him while brandishing their guns.

He said the prime suspect, Uqba, took the driving seat of the vehicle and hit the official vehicle of Pakistan Customs department. The police registered a case against the suspects with no arrests made so far.

BOY GANG-RAPED: A minor boy employed at a shop was allegedly gang-raped by three youths in Sarddar Town, Jahanian, Khanewal district, on Thursday.

In the FIR registered by Jahanian police under sections 376 and 292 of the PPC, the complainant Abdul Hamid, a resident of Singapore Town, stated that his minor son was called by one of the suspects, ‘A’ to the house of ‘H’ where both suspects and their accomplice ‘MA’ raped the boy.

He alleged that the suspects also recorded a video of the criminal act to blackmail the victim.

The police claimed to have arrested the three suspects.

ENCOUNTERS: Two robbers were killed in an encounter with Millat Town police on Thursday morning on Dry Port Road, Faisalabad.

Police claimed that four suspects riding motorcycles were stopped by Dolphin Squad but they opened fire on policemen which was also retaliated. When firing stopped, police found two of them dead who were identified as Khalid and Nadeem.

According to police, the suspects died in firing by their two accomplices. Police said they were involved in dozens of robberies.

At Jhang, two dacoits were injured seriously in encounter with Saddar police on Wednesday night. Police claimed that three outlaws were fleeing after snatching a motorcycle and cash from a citizen when on information, Satellite Town police chased them on Toba Road near Chak 457-JB where exchange of firing took place. When firing stopped, police found both suspects injured while their third accomplice had escaped.

Police claimed that both wounded outlaws received bullets fired by their accomplice. They were shifted to DHQ hospital and were identified as Saleem and Irfan and wanted in 18 dacoities.
