QUETTA: Four people were killed in a head-on collision between a car and a truck on Wednesday.

According to police, four people were killed while four others sustained injuries when a car collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction on the Makran Coastal Highway.

Upon receiving the information, rescue teams rushed to the spot and transferred the injured and the deceased to Uthal district headquarters hospital.

The deceased were later identified as Shokat, Sudheer, Waheed Rehman and Zia Rehman.

The injured were identified as Ziarat Khan, Hamza, Suleman, and Ihsanullah. All the injured people belonged to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, police said. After being provided initial treatment in Uthal, the injured were shifted to Karachi for further treatment.
