KARACHI, May 3: Three vessels carrying containers and general cargo are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, Precious, to unload sugar, Dubai Gold, to load rice, APL Dalian, Ocean Victory, Satha Bhum and Sinar Bontang, to unload and load containers, were berthed after the departure of five.

The ships which departed included Thor Captain, Y.M. Mondego, Fu Wan Shan, African Pal and Man Pung, while Lady Jasmine, Ocean Victory, APL Dalian and Naxos are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was brisk where a total tonnage of 83,424 tons comprising 39,030 tons of export cargo, including 4,958 tons of rice and 44,394 tons of import tonnage, was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Eric G. Gibsib, with containers, Fan Jiang Kou and Khairpur, with general cargo.
