ISLAMABAD: The Embassy of the Republic of Rwanda is set to be inaugurated in Islamabad, a statement issued on Friday said.

According to the statement, Rwandan Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ambassador Olivier Jean Patrick Nduhungirehe, who is due to arrive in Pakistan on an official visit on Monday, will inaugurate the embassy.

The event will be attended by senior government representatives from both countries and members of the diplomatic corps among other guests.

The visit was expected to deepen collaboration and open new avenues of partnership between Rwanda and Pakistan, the statement said.

It said that the visit was scheduled for April 21–22 and represented a “significant milestone in the strengthening of diplomatic ties between the two nations”.

During his visit, Ambassador Nduhungirehe will engage in high-level discussions with senior officials of the government of Pakistan.

The agenda included the signing of multiple memoranda of understanding (MoUs) aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
