TAXILA: Wapda cruised past Pakistan Air Force 3-1 to clinch the National Volleyball Championship here at the POF Sports Complex on Thursday.

A sizeable crowd flocked to witness the final, where Wapda triumphed after a riveting match.

Wapda pulled ahead of PAF, surging to a 2-0 lead in a closely contested encounter. Wapda won the first game 20-25 and followed it with a narrow 22-25 win.

PAF showed grit as they clawed one frame back 19-25 but Wapda halted the comeback and sealed the deal in the fourth game after a 23-25 win.
