There are a lot of people still trapped under the rubble after the attack on Shujaiya, Al Jazeera’s Hind Khoudary reports, adding that rescue teams have been working for hours with their bare hands.

“Paramedics are saying that it’s very hard for them to reach the area because the destruction is massive,” she reports. “They’re also facing a lot of difficulties due to the shortage of fuel and medical supplies.”

Khoudary adds that Al-Ahli Arab Hospital has been calling for blood units because there have been a lot of wounded transferred to the hospital.

“One of the doctors at al-Ahli mentioned that most of the people that arrived at the hospital were fully burned, and there’s no medication for those,” she reports.

Khoudary reports that for more than a month, not a single truck of medication or medical supplies has entered Gaza and there have been dozens of injuries being transferred to the hospitals every single day.

“Hospitals are overwhelmed and packed with wounded Palestinians.”
