Weapons and explosives were also recovered from the site.

The operation has avenged this heinous crime, bringing the key perpetrator to justice. A search and clearance operation is ongoing in the area to eliminate any remaining threats.

“The security forces thwarted the nefarious designs of these militants with timely and effective action,” said the minister.

“We salute the forces for sending these terrorists to hell.”

Mr Naqvi added that the entire nation stood united behind its brave and professional security forces in the pursuit of lasting peace.
