LAHORE, April 30: Five goals by Ahmed Ali, including a hat trick, inspired Candyland Blues win the Low Cup polo tournament beating their own Yellow team 7 1/2-6 in the final on Sunday.

Blues, who had half-goal handicap, led the first chukker 1 1/2-1. Qadir Ashfaq drew first blood for Blues while Tanvir Tariq opened the account for Yellows.

The slim half goal lead remained in order (3 1/2-3) in the second chukker as both teams scored two each.

Four-goal Asif Tiwana hit two goals for Yellows while Ahmed banged home with his first goal while Qadir added his second for Blues.

Blues were offensive in the third chukker increasing the lead to 6 1/2-4. Ahmed scored three goals to complete the hat trick.

Tanvir struck his second goal for the losers.

In the fourth chukker, Yellow staged a comeback but could reduce the margin by scoring two goals through Asif while conceding one when Ahmed pumped in his fifth goal to seal the fate of the final.
