QUETTA, April 30: Law-enforcement agencies arrested two alleged Afghan terrorists from a house in the Pukhtunabad area on Sunday and handed them over to a joint investigation team. According to sources, security personnel raided the house on information received from another Afghan national who was detained last week when an explosive device he was carrying exploded while he was trying to board a bus on the Circular Road. During interrogation, he revealed information about activities of his two compatriots.

SSP Operation Ghulam Mohammed Dogar said: “They are terrorists and wanted to carry out a suicide attack somewhere in Quetta.” He added that they belonged to the northern part of Afghanistan.

“Both the accused are RAW agents who had been sent to Quetta for suicide attacks,” he said, adding that RAW was involved in activities against Pakistan and was sending its agents for subversive activities.—Staff Correspondent
